The 9-1-1 Administration Office works in conjunction with, Public Safety Answering Points (PSAP’s) and all emergency service providers, such
as fire departments, emergency medical personnel and law enforcement agencies.
There are four (4) primary PSAP’s, one (1) secondary PSAP and one (1) remote in Benton County. These 9-1-1 dispatch centers receive all 9-1-1 calls
within the Benton County area and dispatch emergency personnel to the situation.
It is the responsibility of the 9-1-1 Administration office to make sure the 9-1-1 call is received, with the correct addressing and ESN [emergency service number].
The ESN tells the dispatcher what emergency personnel should respond to the call.
There are twenty-seven (27) Fire Departments in Benton County, rural and cities. There are seventeen (17) law enforcement agencies, 16 police departments and
sheriff’s office, and seven (7) EMS agencies, eight (8) including Springdale (emergency providers only).
