The Hot Check Division prosecutes persons who write delinquent checks
throughout Benton County and recovers restitution for area merchants. The Office
has disbursed over $2,000,000 to area businesses in the past five years.
This service is provided free of charge to area businesses and merchants may
also recover a merchant fee from hot check writers.

The Hot Check Division offers free Merchant Packets to area businesses that
include Hot Check Warning signs to post at your store and registers.
