Little Rock handles most of the records, with the assistance of the Local Health Units.

Act 1254 of 1995, Section 7 states “The State Registrar under the direction of the State Board of Health, shall execute and enforce the provisions of the laws and the Rules and Regulations and supervise registrars, to the end that all of the requirements shall be uniformly complied with.”

Certificates of Live Births are prepared by the Hospital Personnel.

Benton County processes all Death Certificates and includes a direct working relations with Funeral Home Directors.
